The Mill has evolved over the past few years, but vintage rugs are one component that has remained a core element of my designs. Because I believe every space should be graced with these beauties, we’re launching our collection online! To celebrate the launch of our vintage rugs, I’m sharing some interior inspiration. In with the old, in every roomliving roomVintage rugs have a story and they are beckoning for more. Living rooms are for just that … living. Adding a layer of pattern and color can really help tie a space together and make it more inviting, yet relaxed. dining roomDon’t let the table and chairs do all the talking. Using a vintage rug in the dining room anchors the space together while also protecting those pretty floors. Make your guests feel right at home with a perfect rug to compliment your dining space. kitchenIn every home, the kitchen always seems to be the gathering spot. I’m no chef but I love any excuse to host my family and friends. Add a vintage runner in front of the sink or stove as a place to welcome those working feet. bedroomThe bedroom should be an oasis. Adding a small rug next to the bed or layering on top of jute/sisal is a great way to implement a cozy element to your bedroom. foyerThe entry to your home is like a first impression. Simply adding a vintage rug to your foyer brings a wow factor and helps transition guests into your home (and keeps the dirt from following). bathroomGoodbye generic bath mats! The durability of vintage rugs is a major perk for me. Trade in those flimsy bath mats for something with a little more interest and class. mudroomUnless you have muddy boots tromping inside, add a vintage rug to your mudroom to really make the space feel less like a cold, utility room. These vintage rugs have proven to stand the test of time, and are sure to add a warm, comfy addition to a typically neglected space.
